Food Losses and Waste in the Context of Sustainable Food Systems — Policy Recommendations
Endorsed by the Committee on World Food Security at its 41st Session, Rome, October 2014. The CFS is the United Nations’ foremost inclusive platform on food security and nutrition, bringing member states together with civil society, the private sector, research institutions and UN agencies. These recommendations address food loss and waste across the whole food system, from production to consumption.

Voluntary Code of Conduct for Food Loss and Waste Reduction
Developed through FAO’s Committee on Agriculture (COAG) and endorsed by the FAO Conference. The Code sets out voluntary principles and practices for governments, producers, businesses and consumers seeking to reduce food loss and waste.
